Post Your Best Wildlife Photos Of 2022

Wow! I am so amazed at some of the pictures I have just seen. I have some other shots that are okay, but not worthy to be in this group. This is far and away my best wildlife photo from this year.

I really like the battle scars and the horn like material that has grown in front of his right eye. I have a side view shot of him that shows the eye itself is undamaged and functional.

Wow...limiting it to only 8 is hard. 1) Sandhill Crane, Bosque del Apache. 2) Sandhill Crane, Ladd S. Gordon Waterfowl Complex. 3. Blackbird, Merced Wildlife Refuge (altered in painterly fashion). 4. Fish Eagle, Africa. 5. Buffalo, Africa. 6. Running Wildebeest, Africa. 7. Baboon Mother and infant, Africa. 8. Wolf on the Move, Yellowstone NP. Is that a bird crawling through the buffalo's nose?

I have never heard of an oxpecker before. The Marine in me wants to make bad jokes, but I will resist the urge.
The Red Oxpeckers are cool ... I have shots of them on a lot of critters in South Africa ... my favorite is one flying in front of a Buffaloe calf who looks like it is going crosseyed looking at the bird. They will go in and out of all sorts of crevices to glean bugs and the critters appreciate the help

The Coopers Hawk lives right next to my house. She comes and watches me pour the morning food. Then she flys into my shrub and waits. Sometimes she is here all day long.

I have posted some of my favourites for 2022 - not all are perfect technically,
but some are special due to being rare or unique.

Gorgeous set of shots!

Many thanks Wink,
Have a great 2023!
Gavin

I loooked at these on my phone earlier today and was impressed. I just looked at the pictures full size, yours and others that I "saw small".

All I can say is wow! To these old eyes, the phone is NOT a good viewing device for the incredible images shown on this site.
