question regarding z 1.4 tc

I just got the z 1.4 tc, and when I attach it to a lens, it is not 100% tight. It moves a bit when rotate against the lens, even when it is locked. Is it normal?

It's normal. Every lens slightly rotates on every Nikon mount.

I'd say it depends, I expect the possibility of some movement, given machining tolerances and variances. How far does it move?

I think allof my lenses have a little bit of rotation with and without a TC - it doesn't seem to affect function and probably protects against damage if the there are minor bumps.
