Flame Robin - our alpine robin. As winter gives way to spring they head up to the snow plains and eat the insects that have been blown up onto the snow and anesthetized.

Brown Thornbill - about the size of a golf ball. Seen here among wattle flowers. It sometimes mimics the call of other birds when defending its nest.

It’s wonderful to see birds of other countries. I’m going to have to look up the Brown Thornbill. It looks very wren-like. And the shot (lighting) is fabulous. thanks!

Rained hard this morning but as things cleared a lot of birds showed up in the yard including this immature White Crowned Sparrow that was kind enough to pose on one of my favorite perches.

Love how the moss is lit up and balances the upper green to frame in the “little guy”.

Found this moss covered branch while walking in the woods and just recently put it up near one of our feeders. Was happy when this Black Capped Chickadee decided to perch on it before coming in to feed.

Perfect prop. Perfect capture!
Beautiful shot😜👍
Thanks guys!

Here's another one from last night, Dark Eyed Junco on an old mossy burned log. I liked the glow the evening sun put on the background.
