I agree...Both versions have their strengths, but for me, the B&W version is more powerful and timeless...

For me, B&W is more about textures, shadows and moods. That is why I went with the B&W versionB&W works really well in some landscapes, as this great example demonstrates

I'm a big fan of Ansel Adams and have studied his work intensively but, when I was setting up for this shot I wasn't consciously going for the "Ansel Adams look".
