While your using it, can you fire the shutter on the camera itself? does the back screen go dark?I’m using Camera Connect & Control. It works with WiFi and, for me better and faster, with USB.
If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

it works. and you can use wifi. but it doesn't work for how he wants to set up the shotNot HDMI, but this functionality I think is there in Snapbridge over Bluetooth? Probably flaky but worth a shot?
i think this is probably your best bet. or your ipad.I haven't tried using Atomos for stills, but for video, you view and activate on that screen. I use the Ninja V+, but it's possible that the Shinobi which is 1/2 price works. HDMI, leaving the USB port open.
I have a 7" HDMI screen I use when I drone. uses the bulky battery in back. Not practical to Shlap to Florida.i think this is probably your best bet. or your ipad.
Yes, I can fire the shutter on the camera and, of course, on the iPhone and the screen of the camera goes dark for a moment, but not the screen of the iPhone. While your using it, can you fire the shutter on the camera itself? does the back screen go dark?
I just downloaded the app, establish the free period to unlock all features.Yes, I can fire the shutter on the camera and, of course, on the iPhone and the screen of the camera goes dark for a moment, but not the screen of the iPhone.
I like that App and I use it in particural for macro and landscape (focus stacking)
My bad, I missed the fact you using USB C.as I said before, I use the USB cable connection and activate the shutter from both the Nikon and the iPhone. I don't like using Wi-Fi because I don't find it very reliable (the connection often needs to be restored).
I have a iphone 12 pro max. And a Nikon d780. bye
The Z8/9, would also use a C cable? Or I need a C to HDMI?Any cable for iPhone to usb-c, I suppose.
The metallic grey part of the picture is lightning to usb3.0 female adapter and the black cable is any usb-a to usb-c cable of the required length. The Z8/9, would also use a C cable? Or I need a C to HDMI?
