What's with Nikon

I'm glad my gear doesn't come with those releases because I hardly ever mount my lenses or cameras.

I don't either, BUT I use an Arca clamp with Peak Design anchors on it to attach my strap to the Arca foot on my lenses, so I'm glad my lenses have built in Arca plates. That's on my Olympus lenses. On my Nikon 500PF the foot I have on it has an Arca mount, but also a QD socket, so on it I use the QD.

And to add to that... Why don't all plates, l-brackets and feet come with a QD socket?

Now, the QD socket is a liability. Special hardened metal socket and critical tolerances = added $$

It's a valid concern. Many photographers prefer Arca-Swiss compatible plates for their convenience and compatibility with various tripods and heads. Nikon could consider incorporating Arca-Swiss plates directly into their Z-mount lenses for improved user experience.

I agree with you, but then I also think car manufacturers should provide full-sized spares, airlines free checked bags, national parks no fee entry, and all cafes bottomless cups of coffee.

Now your talking, I would love to live in that world for sure. Maybe if we approach these companies one by one we will get there.

They should, which is why I fly Southwest, because they do.
