Z6II vs Z7II…which to buy

Neil,
First congrats on the new camera!!

Sounds like you're starting from new. If that's the case, I'd invest in the CFExpress.

Looking forward to a review of your new camera and lens setup.

Yeah only SDs in my current body so buying new and I did see several including the well respected Thom Hogan who recommend CFe if buying new...found that tidbit after I posted. The 7II is back ordered at B&H...have to check Adorama and the Nikon site as well. What sold me on the 7II over the 6II was the no loss of reach with my existing lenses and the 24-200 over the 70-200/2.8 was weight. I might get the latter down the line but it’s definitely out of band for a walking around/travel lens...at least for me.

Don't forget if you are writing to both cards in camera, XQD or CFe cards will be restricted to the write speed of the SD card.

The SD will just be overflow for me rather than leaving the slot empty but I will put the fast card in it anyway.

For still photographers the main difference between the Z 6II and the Z Ii is going from 24.5 MP to 45.7 MP and the cost for the additional megapixels is $1,000. You need to decide if $1,000 for more MP is worth it.
