Z9 ship date

I noticed B&H has updated the expected availability on their site. I still think this is optimistic.

We will know a lot more about availability after noon Monday. Cameras that show up today or tomorrow at B&H's warehouse should be available for assignment for shipping to customers by then and ready for pickup by FedEx. Shipping notice emails will be in someone's mail box if Z9s arrive today or tomorrow as we have been told.

Today is a good day for me. I just picked up my Z9 (ordered through NPS) at Allen's Camera. I even got a bright yellow Nikon Z t-shirt. Battery is now charging and I'll soon start playing with it. Earlier in the week I received the FTZii, 24-120 and 100-400. So NPS has been very good to me.

Nikon USA is letting me add to cart and not stating backordered.

it changed again about an hour or two later. Nikon USA was showing it available and shipping in 24 hours for a while, but now shows backordered. I tried to order, but later receiced an email stating it was backordered. I’ll have to cancel the order at some point since I have a better chance of getting the one I have on order locally sooner.

And you can bet that he was actually offered 12 to 15 grand over sticker price if he was willing to give her 10k. He wouldn't disrupt a deal in the bag to break even :)

Well, with deliveries to the masses starting, there are going to be either some very happy photographers around, or a lot of Z9s on ebay soon. I expect, and hope, it will be the former!

Actually they are shipping it overnight on Monday so I'll have it for Tuesday to charge and get ready to head out with it the next morning which is my birthday! Great gift!

Happy Birthday 12-28 is my daughters birthday :) Now just hope I get my Z9 (not an NPS member) closer to her birthday than mine in August :)
