Mother and baby African Bush Elephant take a drink together at dusk

This image is a bit outside of my usual style. However, we were on the Chobe River watching elephants at dusk. While watching, a mother and her baby walked into the stream from the river's edge and took a drink. Because we were on a boat with a very low gunnel, I was able to lie down and...

    Martial Eagle eyes on photographer

Sony a1 with 200-600 G OSS handheld shot from vehicle. Botswana. This large raptor, biggest in Africa, has remains of a Francolin or Spur Fowl (size of a Chicken) in his talons. Blah sky required sky replacement. Shot on Halloween 2021 so appropriate he gives me a scary look.

Bateleur eagles from Botswana - lifer for me

What an array of birds of prey in Botswana and Zambia! Unreal variety including these strikingly beautiful black and tawny eagles with scarlet faces. Took a ton of shots and just now getting through them. The 200-600mm G OSS 5.6-6.3 performed like a champ and in our vehicles the 600mm f/4 would...
