Shot these redtails in July in my backyard. I was getting familiar with my 500PF which I just received the week before when this pair of hawks landed in a tree near my yard. View attachment 6764

Nice Hut, he's a good looking buck.

Speaking of bird feed and deer, the mulies were hitting my feeders pretty hard about a month ago so I hung them up higher and hadn't seen them in the yard since. But then this evening my wife woke me from my post processing stupor to tell me there were half a dozen deer in the front yard... and our front yard is tiny. So I took a look and it was a foraging frenzy as the deer pawed through the snow looking for seeds the birds had dropped from the feeders. It was kind of chaotic and hard to photograph but I liked this little one scrounging for some feed near one of my favorite perches.

That is a really cute little fawn. We had one that looked similar to this one hanging around our place, two years ago.

Nice image but a fair amount of noise in it. I couldn't help myself and ran a copy through Topaz Denoise (auto) and it made the image pop.

If your happy with the idea, I can post my edit here. Perhaps I should say Topaz's edit, all I did was open Topaz and it did the rest. Gotta love how it can take so much effort out of PP.

Large cardinal-like finch this bird is called a Pyrrhuloxia sometimes called a "Desert Cardinal."
Found on the border between Arizona and New Mexico in a town called "Portal"
Nikon D700 70-200 F/2.8 with teleconverter 2.0; ISO 800 F/5.6 at 1/2500 sec
