L Bracket for Nikon Z8

I tried to order the Leofoto LPN-Z8 L-bracket today via Leofoto's website chat and was told I couldn't because this item was sold in China only. How was everyone able to order this item? Thanks!

You have to order on the LeofotoUSA site, they don’t show the product but if you chat with them or email them you can tell them you‘d like to purchase the Nikon Z 8 L bracket and ask them to apply the current 20% discount code and you can get it for $40.00. They will email you an invoice.

Do they have an eBay storefront? Similarly, when I went to SmallRig's website they didn't list the Z8's L-bracket anywhere. I reached out to them and they said they're no longer listing or selling L-brackets from their main website any more (for some odd reason). They directed me to their eBay store, I ordered and had mine in about a week from China. $45 total. I also have their L-bracket for my Z6II, excellent products!

They do have an ebay storefront but only have the z8 cage listed.

I was able to purchase one after chatting with them again and referencing this forum. I was also able to use the 20% off coupon code. This was there response in chat. "The Z8 L Plate has been discontinued in the United States, but we still have a limited stock available. We can offer it directly to you. MSRP is $49.99. "

The Z8 is so new there are no dedicated L Brackets yet. SmallRig is taking preorders on a cage, but I don't want that I just want a bottom and side bracket for still shooting. There are a couple universal L Brackets on Amazon (generic to fit any model), such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X46YKQZ/?tag=backcogaller-20
Does anyone have experience using universal brackets like this?

I bought a Small Rig L bracket at The Csnera Store here in Calgary for about $70 . Fits great, solid snd looks good.

3LeggedThing just came out with their L-Bracket for the Z8, called Zooey. I like it a lot, and better than my SmallRig L-Bracket as it is shorter and doesn't block the battery door. It is one piece magnesium alloy and fits the Z8 perfectly. It also works better with the Peak Design Capture Clip. Worth checking out if you are in the market for an L-Bracket.
