Ira, what a great photo... technically excellent and lots of great action! You might have to go find an Ivory-billed Woodpecker to beat this one.

Great shots!The Downy Woodpecker pair in my neighborhood has discovered the suet feeder, and they pause for a moment on the adjacent oak tree before helping themselves to a free lunch. Note the buffy wash on the underparts, typical of a Pacific Coast bird (ssp. turati) vs. white of an eastern bird.
