A few pileated woodpecker shots from my backyard, taken between September 2022 and last May. Might be the same bird in the first two images; if that's the case his parents didn't teach him how to get to a suet feeder and he finally figured out how to land on the feeder after about two months of landing on the stick and flipping over.

Today's Gila poser. Switched to the 100-400 to get this environmental shot.
Male PWP going after roundheaded borer grubs in a bucked-up round in my yard. The bird got at least 7 grubs while I watched for a few minutes. Taken with from about 15 feet away with a Z8, Z400 f/4.5, and 1.4 TC.
