Kind of funny, but I had finally ordered the ProGrade 325gb card at the sale price last Sat (supposedly the last day of that sale at $365), but on Sunday, BH had a super sale on the Delkin Black 512gb card + their card reader for $469 ($200+ off), so I canceled the ProGrade and got the Delkin, which was delivered yesterday - yesterday, the day the word came out about the new "bottomless buffer" Delkin cards haha. So, yes, today I did a return on the old Delkin card, and bought the new version (well, should be the new version - we'll see when it arrives early next week), for $30 more...
I've definitely hit the buffer a few times at 20fps LL RAW, so I'm hoping their claims hold up - the action doesn't stop when the buffer fills!
Also, I've stuck with LL RAW due to FastRawViewer not supporting HE* yet - probably will leverage HE* for above-base ISO action settings when they do.
Also, too, I do think we will see some version of RAW pre-capture with these cards - .3 or .5 sec pre-capture (I speculate). More of a question about 30fps (or 25fps) RAW since we're not sure where the bottleneck is in the I/O chain...
It is encouraging to see prices on these items start to come down a bit finally... Also gfx cards actually starting to be avail at not insane prices.
Cheers!
