In the past, I had several prime lenses like the Nikon 24-70 2.8, and the Tamron 24-70 2.8 VCII.
With the arrival of the Z6, I bought a kit with the good 24-70 F.4-Z
Last year I sold all my lenses with the same focal range to switch to the Z 24-120 F.4 S.
I can tell you that I have no regrets. It's an excellent lens at all focal lengths that pairs well with the Z9.
Surely the new Z 24-70 2.8 S will be even better, but for my needs, having an extended focal range up to 120 is a greater plus than a very bright focal length.
