Your LBH looks nearly 100 like our black egret, except ours have yellow toes! Nice!

I know, I've seen many, many and I mean really many white storks in Tanzania when I was a kid.
Really amazing that so many of these white storks are in one place and then move on further south.

Like many of us our spring/summer has been mostly spent in the back yard. Here is a few recent birds.

I had been wanting to capture one of the thousands of Yellow-headed blackbirds in flight to show his epaulettes and this is about the best I was able to manage in the sagebrush out back.

Sometimes when I am bored I will hike down to the State Park with my 200-500mm and take practice shots of the Gulls. Nice easy going birds with bright white feathers to manage.

Love that yellow HBB, it is beautiful, classic wing position! Swallows nice too!

Thanks! Shorebirds are a rare exception for me, normally all my images are from my back yard. Small flycatchers like this black Phoebe are my biggest BIF challenges.

Beautiful Shot! Not easy to get exposure correct with a bird like that. Looks perfect.

Osprey seem like they should be easy to get a decent photo but i have really struggled to capture a really good image. I'll get there someday. Here is one with a fish he grabbed out of the Frenchman Hills river. I will say he had quite a meal ready and tried hard but a Swainson's hawk left with the bass.
