Sony A1-2

Man, I could kick myself in the rear end with both feet for not buying one of those A1’s from you 😆
They sold fast and the firmware not being updated definitely helped mine sell before others. There are a bunch for sale in DFW. Many waited to long. That’s going to cost them $500 plus on what they will get for it.

There have also been some rumors about a second generation 100–400 mm lens. I would rather put the $2500. I would have to put toward this camera toward that lens because I absolutely love the first generation lens.

Yeah, I think having that earlier firmware definitely expedited your sales or at least that’s my opinion

I'm not overly impressed, I guess I was expecting some brand new features/functions unique to the A1II. Nothing at this point has me reaching for my wallet.
I think one of the biggest letdowns is you have Canon and Nikon with bodies costing $2000 less that have 8K 60 I’m really baffled as to why they did not add this feature. I think I probably would’ve entertained buying it if it would’ve had 8k60. I feel like you do this morning. My wallet is happy lol

I haven’t read everything about it yet, but I think the two things that baffle me the most is, no 8K 60 for video and not increasing the frames per second even up to 40 frames per second. I personally do not want more than 30 frames per second, but I know a lot of folks were expecting that and wanting it. I can maybe understand with it being higher resolution not being able to do 60fps but it seems like 40 would have been attainable.

It’s undoubtedly a great camera. I don’t think anyone could say that that is not. Having said that, for someone that owns the first generation, I don’t see anything in the specs that make it worth upgrading and losing that much money but that’s just my opinion. I think it would be a far easier decision if it shot 60 frames per second, had a different sensor or some cutting edge technology that’s not in any of their other cameras. It doesn’t check any of those boxes so for me I’m just not going to upgrade. The A7V is one that I will definitely be eyeing once it’s released and if the rumors are correct, I would be just about perfect for my type of shooting.
