Shipping in December, that's pretty quick.
If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).
If that holds, we don't even have the actual announcement. A9III was announced Nov-7 and deliveries started early Feb.Shipping in December, that's pretty quick.
Yeah, I don't recall the interval from announcement to release on the original A1 but I'm sure it was at least a couple of months or more.If that holds, we don't even have the actual announcement. A9III was announced Nov-7 and deliveries started early Feb.
You got yourself a pro account, so you got it much earlier than us mere civilians...A1 annouced Jan 26th. Not sure what the first shipping date was but I think I had one in the first batch and got mine March 9th.
True. I've been asking my store to check if I need an active Pro account to get first dibs for the Mark II. I haven't had an active account for the past 2 years. You got yourself a pro account, so you got it much earlier than us mere civilians...
My first one shipped late February and was about 3 weeks earlier than originally thought.A1 annouced Jan 26th. Not sure what the first shipping date was but I think I had one in the first batch and got mine March 9th.
So it was pretty quick but if this A1II ships in the first 2 weeks of December that will be very quick.
At the rate the rumored price keeps dropping, it'll be under $5K by launch dayLooks like the price is going to be between $6299-$6350 according to alpha rumors.
That would be nice and that’s about what it’s worth to me honestly lolAt the rate the rumored price keeps dropping, it'll be under $5K by launch day
I think Nikon definitely has the best pricing strategy by far!I'll be curious to see what Sony gives us. Wonder how Canon and Nikon will match/exceed Sony's offering. Camera technology is always a game of leap frog.
I agree. But then again I like lower prices ..I think Nikon definitely has the best pricing strategy by far!
Me too lolI agree. But then again I like lower prices ..
Used prices are already down to $4K or even a little lower on some listings. They will likely fall a bit more as people sell A1 and get A1II. Although my friends have decided to keep their A1 as 2nd camera and just add A1II. My plan is to sell my A1 so I'm sure many others will. When A9II came out it was 4500 and A9I dropped from 4500 to 3500 USD. AFAIR I am correct. So I guess we can assume A1 will drop by 1K to 5500 or by 3500/4500*6500 expect 5000 USD. I hope used prices will be even lower And I will afford one for my wife
Hope this isn't just marketing silliness, maybe we are getting a special Canadian editionScreenshot from my retailer in Canada on their main splash page. Sounds like it is going to be good.

It may be the best on planet Earth, but it's no match for the X14a mirrorless they have on Xandar!Screenshot from my retailer in Canada on their main splash page. Sounds like it is going to be good.

The camera for super heroes. The announcement is at 9am EST but I think I will still make a big bowl of popcorn, the commentary afterwards will be epic either way.It may be the best on planet Earth, but it's no match for the X14a mirrorless they have on Xandar!
I agree, the camera is going nice, but the comments are where the fun is!The camera for super heroes. The announcement is at 9am EST but I think I will still make a big bowl of popcorn, the commentary afterwards will be epic either way.
