I have been using a tripod and handholding for a few years now, but I'm considering getting a monopod for more support but be more mobile. Of course I'm planning to slap on a wimberley mh 100 on it.
I can see that Siriu just released a new monopod with one step rapid height adjustment, as shown...
I believe a Z-9 is as good a pro camera as any. After having it for over a year, I know the menu and settings inside and out. Thanks to Steve Perry initially and then lots of perseverance. It's worth it. It's a great tool if you know how to use it and the combinations and creative choices one...
Compilation of Wildlife Videos shot by me in India and Kenya. Been doing wildlife photography for 3+ years. Been doing bits of video since I purchased the Z9 a year ago.

Should be some interesting comments in this regard.

This baby Alligator was barely visible among the aquatic vegetation in 40-acre Pond, Brazos Bend State Park, Texas. With a low-survivability rate due to predation by Herons, larger alligators, and other hungry animals in the local ecosystem, baby gators keep a low-profile.
Thought I'd share this here. I'm very new to video, and this was my second time out with the 800mm PF. Lots to learn.
I really never was very interested in shooting video, but I now think it's a super tool in the kit for when the light is very limited, when the background is cluttered or not...
What 4\6 lenses would be in your collection for your Z9? What F mount lenses would you keep or add? With approximately . 87 F mount lenses still offered and so far 33 Z mount lenses as listed as current stock on Nikon's website. List your collect or recommendations as General, Wildlife...
Pacific Golden-Plover (non-breeding plumage) : Pluvialis fulva
Moreton Bay, Queensland

Also spending the boreal winter in Moreton Bay (links within BCG):
Far Eastern Curlew
Bar-tailed Godwit
Interesting and different from the frequent camera gear articles. I found this to be an open ended article, with too few pointers to tactics to getting close...
