Hopefully there will be enough to go around. Probably will if the price is cranked up. My friend Pius also put in a preorder at CC yesterday. When the A1 came out I had to join SPS to get first dibs. I've not been a member the last 2 years so I may have to sign up again.

Someone had already pre-ordered yesterday from my usual retailer but they have been very good to me over the years. Hopefully there will be a good supply at launch, hopefully the Canadian launch price will be comparable to the A1 launch but who knows.
What's the current file sizes and the bandwidth throughput on the A9iii? It should be easy to do some math and get an Idea of FPS and buffer if they use the same hardware or similar as the A9iii, or add a GB and see what that would look like.
If it's like the A9iii I would think the buffer is going to be super short at 60FPS, but for precapture it would still be great. Sony needs to switch to a faster card setup.

The A1 files are about double the A9III so the A1II at 60FPS would be the same as A9III at 120FPS which I agree is not very practical because of the buffer. Hopefully they have made a larger buffer and/or can process and then write to CFe-A 4.0 cards.
My dealer says that he got some preorders in, all A1 users. Looking forward to testing it; loved the A9iii ergos.

Typically there is no price, put in a deposit to take a spot on the wait list with an opt-out / refund option when the price is known. Some do it with no deposit.

No price. Knowing how they work, it's probably a list of existing customers.
This is the third video stating the A1 will keep the same body. This is usually a pretty reputable source.

I can’t swear they’ll be correct but we’re spot on with the A7RV and A6700. I truly believe it’s just going to be an incremental update and if so, we’ll most likely be around the same price as the current version. If it’s using the older body I honestly don’t have any problems with the older body. I like the newer style like my A7R5, but Don’t have any issues using the current A1. This is three different sites such as this that are stating it will be the older body style. Perhaps Arbitrage is right and the A93 is going to be the flagship going forward.
There is no way it doesn’t take on the new body. The alleged leaked photos also confirm the new body.
Hopefully it does but I’ve certainly seen weirder things in my life lol. The only thoughts I have is, perhaps they have a ton of A1 castings they need to use lol.
Nah and I suspect they will keep selling the old a1 for less money.
Hopefully you’re right but nothing at this point in life would surprise me.

That latest video has no original sources. They are late to the party quoting the old rumor SAR shared a week ago. The same source that told SAR that it was going to keep the A1 body has since told SAR that he was wrong and it was only a prototype that he saw in the A1 body. He said it will be the A9III body.
Then we have the leaked image with A1 badge and an A1II strap in the box. I could see someone easily faking the A1 badge onto an A9III body but I doubt they would have faked an A1II labeled strap in the bokeh.
I think there is 0% chance it has the A1 body.

Nope. It will have their all new af, menu etc and will likely either be a 1. Something or a 2. The a9III came out with a 1. Something and was updated to a 2.0 a couple months later.
